Rock Table 2
This project began by prepping two 3/4 bars of steel stock for forging. Lines were ground into the metal to achieve a Rubix twist when heated and forged to shape. These pieces were welded onto a steel structure and wood was added for further shape. Foam was used to block out the rest of the form. Metal mesh was applied, and finally, concrete to give a faux rock finish. Several washes of paint were used to achieve a realistic color.
